Bell Ringer

Job Description

The Bell Ringer will be responsible for ringing church bells for services, weddings, funerals and other events as required. This role requires dedication and a strong connection to the community.

Responsibilities

• Attend training and development sessions related to bell ringing.
• Support community outreach initiatives through bell ringing events.
• Document and report any maintenance needs regarding the bells and tower.
• Promote church events to enhance community engagement.
• Establish connections with local groups interested in bell ringing.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but prior experience in bell ringing is preferred.

Experience

• Experience in bell ringing or a willingness to learn is essential.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with historic bell towers and bells: Knowledge of how to manage and maintain historical bell installations.
• Event Management Experience: Prior experience assisting with the coordination of church or community events.
