Job Description

As a Social Work Manager in Swansea, you will oversee a significant portfolio of social work services aimed at enhancing community wellbeing. Your leadership will drive effective strategies to address social challenges, manage a dedicated team, and foster collaborations with local organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective communication within the team and with external partners.
  • Develop performance metrics to assess service effectiveness.
  • Advocate for the needs of the community you serve to influence policy changes.
  • Manage and mitigate risks related to service delivery.
  • Promote mental health awareness and resources in the community.
  • Compile reports for senior management on service performance and outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams to enhance service integration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or relevant field
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in social work management
