• Create a safe and welcoming environment for children.
• Facilitate learning through play, structured activities, and daily routines.
• Engage children in learning activities that foster creativity and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with the team to improve childcare practices.
• Keep the environment clean, organised, and conducive to learning.
• Provide support during transition times, such as arrival or departure.
• Document observations and contribute to assessing children’s development.
• Encourage children to develop independence and social skills.

• Level 2 Certificate in Childcare or equivalent
• Level 3 qualification preferred
• Child Development Knowledge Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
• First Aid and CPR Certified in first aid and CPR, ensuring children's safety in emergencies.
• Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Patience Able to remain calm and patient even in challenging situations.
• Empathy Ability to understand and respond to children's emotional needs.
• Safeguarding Children Certification
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• English (Fluent)

• Experience in leading activities for children: Ability to plan and conduct engaging group activities for children.
• Knowledge of early years frameworks: Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
