Job Description

We are seeking passionate Childcare Workers to join our team in Nottingham. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to fostering the development and well-being of children, providing a safe and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and welcoming environment for children.
• Facilitate learning through play, structured activities, and daily routines.
• Engage children in learning activities that foster creativity and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with the team to improve childcare practices.
• Keep the environment clean, organised, and conducive to learning.
• Provide support during transition times, such as arrival or departure.
• Document observations and contribute to assessing children’s development.
• Encourage children to develop independence and social skills.

Requirements

Education

• Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent
• Higher qualifications (e.g., BA in Early Childhood Education) preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a nursery or similar environment

Technical Skills

• Behaviour Management
• Creative Planning

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Advanced Child Protection Training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in leading activities for children: Ability to plan and conduct engaging group activities for children.
• Knowledge of early years frameworks: Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
