Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Fashion Designer to join our creative team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will have a flair for fashion and a keen eye for detail, capable of translating concepts into unique clothing designs.

Responsibilities

• Research and forecast fashion trends to inform design directions.
• Create prototypes of designs and present them to the design team.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to find the best materials.
• Assist in managing budgets related to design projects.
• Develop and maintain a cohesive brand identity through designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
• Master's degree in Fashion Merchandising is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in fashion design or a similar role

Technical Skills

• Sewing
• Design Software (Illustrator, Photoshop)

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Fashion Designer
• Sustainable Fashion Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of digital fashion design tools: Familiarity with tools such as CLO 3D and Adobe Suite.
• Experience in leading design projects: Proven track record of managing successful fashion projects from concept to execution.
