Materials Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Materials Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, developing, and testing new materials, as well as improving the performance and functionality of existing materials. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify material requirements for various projects.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and engineer new material formulations to meet evolving industry requirements.
• Conduct literature reviews and stay informed on new trends in material science.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion.
• Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
• Identify potential hazards in laboratory settings and enforce safety guidelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Engineering or related field
• Ph.D. in Material Science is preferred

Experience

• 4-7 years of experience in material science research and development, preferably in industrial applications.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Nanomaterials
• Additive Manufacturing Techniques

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Communication Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Polymers, Metals, or Ceramics: Experience working with a variety of material types.
• Understanding of Extreme Environment Behaviour: Knowledge of how materials perform under extreme conditions.
