Job Description

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you will play a vital role in our clinic by assisting veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and various medical procedures. Your expertise will ensure the highest quality of care for our animal patients.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians in all clinical procedures, including surgeries.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients and educate clients.
  • Conduct laboratory tests and ensure accurate analysis.
  • Administer anaesthetics and monitor patients during procedures.
  • Implement infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Assist in handling and restraining animals for examinations.
  • Document all treatments, medications, and observations in patient records.
  • Assist with the training of new staff and veterinary students.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of medical equipment.
  • Contribute to the overall workflow of the clinic by aiding in administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program
  • Valid UK License as a Veterinary Technician
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital.
