Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Horizontal Boring Mill Operator responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used for drilling, milling, and boring holes in various materials. This role requires keen attention to detail and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run horizontal boring machines for operations on metals and plastics.
• Troubleshoot machinery failures and perform preventative maintenance.
• Monitor machine output and adjust settings for optimal performance.
• Document production results and report any discrepancies.
• Mentor junior staff in safe operational practices.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards throughout production.
• Actively participate in safety and training sessions.
• Identify and recommend machinery enhancements to improve productivity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss production goals and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in machine tool technology or related field is preferable

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating horizontal boring mills
