Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter at Insurance Solutions Ltd., you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating risks for a variety of insurance applications. You will play a crucial role in determining coverage limits and premiums, providing our clients with the best possible service while ensuring that our company maintains profitability.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive risk analyses for individual and commercial insurance applications.
• Work closely with claims adjusters to review claims and adjust policies accordingly.
• Communicate with clients to resolve any underwriting issues and provide excellent service.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of underwriting guidelines.
• Prepare reports on underwriting activities and assessments.
• Stay informed about relevant legislation and compliance issues.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss underwriting strategies and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Professional underwriting certification preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or related fields

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)
