Manufacturing Equipment Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Manufacturing Equipment Technician to maintain and enhance our manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate should be skilled in troubleshooting and repairing various production machinery, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers for equipment parts and maintenance supplies.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance productivity.

Requirements

Education

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• HNC in Engineering is desirable

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting
• Electrical systems maintenance

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication skills

Certifications

• IOSH Managing Safely
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with CAD software: Experience in using CAD software for equipment design and layout.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles: Understanding of Lean principles to help improve processes and reduce waste.
