Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Retail Buyer to join our vibrant team in Blackburn. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selecting and purchasing products that meet our customers' needs while ensuring optimal inventory levels. You will play a crucial role in the business by developing relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and identifying market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential new suppliers and products.
  • Enhance the company’s product mix to meet changing customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product launches.
  • Implement sustainable purchasing practices where possible.
  • Provide training and support to junior purchasing staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Master's degree in Business or Retail Management is preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a comparable retail role.
