Certified Driver Examiner (CDE)

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Driver Examiner (CDE) to assess and evaluate individuals seeking driver's licenses. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of driving laws and regulations. The CDE will play a pivotal role in promoting safe and responsible driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer and supervise driving examinations in accordance with safety standards.
• Assess applicants' understanding of traffic laws through written tests.
• Provide feedback and training recommendations to failed applicants.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by providing a supportive environment during tests.
• Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with staff and applicants.
• Monitor the condition of examination vehicles to ensure safety during tests.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Conduct follow-up assessments for repeat applicants.
• Lead workshops on road safety and driver education.
• Help develop training materials and resources for applicants.

Requirements

Education

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Certified Driver Examiner (CDE) accreditation from a recognised institution/authority
• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in conducting driving tests and evaluating driving skills is required.

Technical Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong knowledge of driving laws and regulations

Certifications

• Additional qualifications related to driving assessment and instruction

Languages
