Job Description

We are currently looking for a skilled Lumber Scaler to join our dynamic team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have experience in measuring and grading lumber according to established industry standards, ensuring quality and compliance throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate measurements and grading of lumber materials.
• Participate in quality audits to ensure compliance with industry benchmarks.
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely movement of graded lumber.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the grading process.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operational activities.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in lumber grading preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in wood processing or timber grading is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Automated lumber scanning systems
• Data entry software

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving abilities
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working in a sawmill or wood processing facility: Hands-on experience in a production environment with timber.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards: Knowledge of safety protocols within the timber industry.
