Job Description

As a Cutting Torch Operator, you will be responsible for operating a cutting torch to expertly cut and shape metal materials per the provided specifications. Your attention to detail and safety awareness will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and specifications for metal cutting tasks.
• Operate cutting torch and related equipment effectively.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on tools and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and promote a safety-first culture.
• Organise materials and tools for efficient workflow.
• Provide support to the production team in achieving targets.
• Document all cutting operations for quality control purposes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report to management.
• Maintain personal safety equipment and ensure readiness.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss operations and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Additional qualifications in welding or metal fabrication are a bonus.

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
