Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Medical Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations on patients' eyes. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with ophthalmologists to diagnose and manage various ocular conditions using advanced imaging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ultrasound examinations of the eye and surrounding structures.
  • Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures ensuring their comfort.
  • Interpret and evaluate ultrasound images accurately.
  • Document and maintain detailed patient records according to protocols.
  • Participate in on-going training and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Adhere to policies regarding the handling of medical equipment.
  • Engage in research initiatives and clinical trials as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualifications in relevant areas are preferred
Experience
  • Experience working in a clinical setting preferred.
