Job Description

As an Auto Wrecker, you will be responsible for dismantling vehicles and salvaging usable parts, ensuring that all operations adhere to health and safety protocols. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and possesses strong mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle vehicles in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Safely operate heavy machinery and tools for dismantling tasks.
  • Document and manage inventories of salvaged parts effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to HSE regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve work processes and efficiency.
  • Prepare salvaged parts for resale and storage appropriately.
  • Follow environmental guidelines related to the disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Conduct regular safety checks on tools and machinery.
  • Assist in training junior staff and apprentices in best practices.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure the availability of required parts for dismantling.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an automotive environment.

Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with hydraulic tools: Familiarity with hydraulic presses and cutting tools.
