Kennel Worker

Job Description

As a Kennel Worker, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of pets in our facility. Your role includes feeding, grooming, and monitoring animal health to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Feeding, cleaning, and caring for all animals in the kennel.
• Monitoring animals for signs of distress or health issues.
• Maintaining cleanliness in pet areas and equipment.
• Coordinating with the kennel manager on animal health issues.
• Providing exercise and socialisation for animals under care.
• Engaging with pet owners to provide updates on their animals.
• Assisting with the onboarding procedure for new pets.
• Participating in team meetings to discuss animal welfare.
• Assisting with other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in animal care or veterinary assistance

Technical Skills

• Animal Care Knowledge
• First Aid for Animals

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Reliability

Certifications

• First Aid Certification - Animal Care

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Animal Care: Formal training or certification in animal care or veterinary assistance.
• Ability to drive: Possession of a valid driver's license to assist in transportation of animals.
