Job Description

As a Speed Belt Sander Tender, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the speed belt sander machine, ensuring that all wooden surfaces are finished to the highest standards. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will inspect and measure products to ensure they meet quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate the speed belt sander to ensure all wood materials are sanded to a smooth finish.
• Read and interpret project specifications and blueprints.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve the desired texture.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols.
• Keep accurate records of production and machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other operators for efficient workflow.

Requirements

Education

• Secondary education or equivalent
• Training or certification in woodworking or carpentry is advantageous but not required

Experience

• Prior experience in operating a speed belt sander machine or similar woodworking machinery is advantageous but not required.
