Job Description

As an Airfield Maintenance Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep of airfield operations. You will be responsible for operating a range of heavy machinery to maintain airfield surfaces, ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate airfield maintenance vehicles and equipment efficiently.
• Check fuel levels and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workshop area.
• Assist with the restoration of damaged airfield surfaces.
• Participate in emergency response training and drills.
• Collaborate with airfield management to optimise equipment usage.
• Monitor weather-related challenges impacting maintenance activities.
• Ensure that all activities adhere to company policies and local regulations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant certifications in airfield maintenance are advantageous

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in an airfield or similar environment.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of airfield safety protocols
• Experience with GPS-guided maintenance equipment
