Public Safety Telecommunicator

Job Description

We are seeking a Public Safety Telecommunicator who will manage and maintain all aspects of our telecommunications systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will liaise with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that all operational requirements are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for telecommunications systems and applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain telecom systems.
• Collaborate with teams for seamless integration with business applications.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for telecom systems.
• Stay updated with the latest telecom technologies and trends.
• Assist with managing telecom vendors and suppliers.
• Provide training and support to end-users.
• Engage with emergency services when required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
• Industry certifications in telecommunications

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a telecommunications role

Technical Skills

• Telecommunications systems knowledge
• Project management skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving ability

Advantageous

• Experience in telecommunications for a large organization: Prior experience in a large-scale telecommunications environment.
