Information Security Analyst

Job Description

We seek a proactive Information Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will evaluate and mitigate risks, ensuring our systems and data are secure against potential threats. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our security posture and compliance while working alongside a dedicated team of experts.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into security incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements, including GDPR.
• Act as a point of contact for security-related inquiries.
• Continuously update and test incident response plans.
• Engage with external partners for threat intelligence sharing.
• Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of security measures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent
• Master's degree in Information Security is a plus

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role

Technical Skills

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Cloud Security

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with risk management frameworks: Hands-on experience implementing risk management best practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards: Knowledge of implementing and maintaining an information security management system.
