Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced PLC Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automation systems and contributing to high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated equipment.
• Conduct effective troubleshooting for PLC issues.
• Work on project-based PLC programming tasks.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of PLC systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote efficient PLC operations.
• Continuously improve processes and suggest system enhancements.
• Participate in training sessions to further enhance skills.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in writing operating procedures and work instructions.

Requirements

Education

• Engineering Diploma or equivalent qualification

Experience

• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Siemens PLCs

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Detail-oriented

Certifications

• NEBOSH Certification in Occupational Safety and Health

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of Electrical Circuits: Knowledge of electrical circuits and control panel design for system integration.
• Experience with Control Panel Design: Ability to design and implement control panel systems for operational efficiency.
