Job Description

As an Activity Aide, you will play a pivotal role in creating a lively and positive atmosphere in our care home. Your responsibilities will include planning and facilitating engaging activities tailored to the individual needs and interests of our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging activity plans that promote health and social inclusion for residents.
  • Conduct individual consultations to understand residents' preferences and abilities.
  • Organize themed events and celebrations to enhance community spirit.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and gather feedback from residents.
  • Assist in training new staff on activity facilitation and resident engagement.
  • Participate in care plan reviews, incorporating activity-based interventions.
  • Network with local organisations for potential collaboration on activities.

Requirements

Education
  • No formal qualifications required, although a background in care or social work is beneficial.
  • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care is advantageous.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a care setting or working with elderly individuals is desirable.
