We are currently seeking skilled Construction and Building Inspectors to join our dedicated team. In this critical role, you will conduct thorough inspections of building projects to ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, whilst collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and contractors.

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate construction methods and practices ensuring they meet industry standards.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Consult with local authorities and agencies on interpretation of building codes.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff on building inspection protocols.
  • Apply knowledge of building materials and techniques to provide expert guidance.
  • Champion a culture of safety and quality within the construction team.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Professional certification in building inspection is preferred
  • Knowledge of UK building codes and regulations In-depth understanding of UK building regulations and safety standards.
  • Inspection techniques and reporting Competence in conducting thorough inspections and drafting comprehensive reports.
  • Construction methods Understanding of construction processes and materials.
  • Attention to detail Exceptional ability to notice details and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings.
  • Problem-solving Ability to address and resolve issues swiftly in a construction environment.
  • Chartered Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng)
  • CSCS Card Holder (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Familiarity with health and safety legislation: Comprehensive understanding of current health and safety legislation and how it applies to construction.
  • Proficiency in using inspection software tools: Experience using various inspection tools and software to document findings.
