Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in St Albans. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of various projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that the structural integrity of the projects meets high standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals for new engineering projects.
• Assist in budget preparation and cost management.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to management.
• Research new materials and construction methods.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training as needed.
• Engage with local authorities to secure necessary permits.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in structural design and implementation

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• ISEE (International Society for Engineering Educators)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with project management software: Proficient in tools such as Microsoft Project or Trello.
