Wool Sorter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Wool Sorter to join our team. As a Wool Sorter, you will be responsible for sorting and grading wool based on quality and fiber type. Your attention to detail and understanding of different wool characteristics will ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate weighing and classification of wool.
• Train new team members on different sorting techniques and equipment.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on sorting machinery.
• Document sorting processes and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Work with quality control to ensure wool meets all specifications.
• Assist with inventory management and stock control of wool supplies.

Requirements

Education

• Training or certification in wool grading is a plus

Experience

• Previous experience in the textile industry preferred.

Technical Skills

• Experience with wool fibers
• Forklift operation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Attention to safety

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with sorting machinery maintenance: Experience in the upkeep and troubleshooting of sorting equipment is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift: Experience operating relevant equipment will be beneficial.
