Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Soil and Plant Scientist who is passionate about the health of trees and plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of soil biology, plant physiology, and environmental impact assessments to ensure the sustainability of our green spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and report on soil conditions and plant performance across different sites.
  • Develop sustainable practices to improve soil fertility and plant vitality.
  • Conduct research on soil treatments and their effects on various plant species.
  • Provide training and support to teams on best practices in soil and plant management.
  • Liaise with clients to provide horticultural support and best practices.
  • Utilize GIS software for mapping and analysing plant resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of environmental changes on plant ecosystems.
  • Oversee and contribute to the maintenance of research plots.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals for environmental projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Horticulture, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification is an advantage

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
