Food Quality Control Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a Food Quality Control Officer to oversee food safety and quality processes at our Llanelli facility. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards, contributing to our commitment to excellence in food production.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production processes and recommend improvements for food safety.
• Conduct sensory evaluations of products to assess quality.
• Collaborate with the R&D team on new product development to ensure quality standards.
• Lead initiatives to maintain certifications in food safety management systems.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies as necessary to ensure compliance.
• Address customer complaints regarding product quality and liaise with relevant departments.
• Ensure all documented procedures are adhered to for traceability.
• Assist in preparing for external audits and inspections.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Food Technology or a related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in food quality management or related field

Technical Skills

• Food Safety Regulations
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Food Safety Supervisor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with internal audits: Experience conducting internal audits for food safety compliance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems: Experience with ERP systems and quality modules.
