Job Description

As the Aquaculture Operations Manager in Leeds, you will oversee the daily operations of our aquaculture facilities, ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of fish production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aquaculture management and a passion for sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational strategy for aquaculture production, optimizing processes for efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fish stocks and water quality to ensure optimal conditions.
  • Develop training programmes for staff on aquaculture techniques and sustainable practices.
  • Work with the finance team to develop budgets and manage operational costs effectively.
  • Research and implement innovative aquaculture technologies and practices.
  • Liaise with environmental agencies to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive operation reports and documentation for audits.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification is an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in aquaculture management
