Job Description

As a Structural Iron and Steel Worker at Bridgeman, you will be instrumental in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of structural frameworks in various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in construction practices and a thorough understanding of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cut, weld, and shape metal components as required by project specifications.
• Participate in project planning and job site meetings.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained, serviced, and safe to use.
• Manage the delivery and storage of materials at work sites.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
• Assist in the preparation of job reports and documentation.
• Work with project managers to monitor progress and meet deadlines.
• Mentor apprentices and new hires in industry practices.
• Measure and mark dimensions using appropriate tools.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in construction or metalworking is a plus

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in steel fabrication and construction.

Technical Skills

• Blueprint Reading
• Metal Fabrication

• Problem Solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Welding Certification
• Forklift Operator Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous construction site experience: Hands-on experience working on large construction sites.
• Ability to speak additional languages: Knowledge of a second language can be beneficial.
