Job Description

As a Meat Grading Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production line by operating and maintaining machinery that grades and sorts meat products. You will ensure that our output meets the highest quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the grading process, adjusting machinery as needed to follow specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks on meat to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work with supervisors to enhance production efficiency and maintain quality control.
  • Document all maintenance and inspections conducted on machinery.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and improvements.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address and resolve any operational issues.
  • Stay informed on the latest health and safety regulations impacting meat handling and processing.
  • Conduct routine troubleshooting of machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all team members.
  • Explore and recommend improvements in machinery and processes.

Requirements

Education
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Relevant vocational certifications in food processing or machine operation are advantageous
Experience
  • Previous experience in a meat processing or similar industry is preferred, but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
