Job Description

We are in search of an Agronomy Specialist to join our passionate team in Margate. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of crop science and agronomy practices, and will be able to apply this knowledge to improve our agricultural outputs. You will work closely with farmers and stakeholders to provide expert guidance on best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on pest and disease management strategies.
• Assist in the development of sustainable agriculture initiatives.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to promote innovative farming techniques.
• Evaluate crop performance and provide detailed reports to management.
• Organise workshops and training for local farmers.
• Collaborate with research institutions to advance agronomic science.
• Identify opportunities for funding and grant applications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or relevant field
• PhD in Agronomy preferred

Experience

• 5 years of progressive experience in agronomy or crop consultancy
