Job Description

Join our team as a Mental Health Nurse where you will provide essential care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and supporting patients on their journey to recovery. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of mental health conditions and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' mental health status and needs.
  • Create and adjust treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
  • Document patient interactions and treatment progress.
  • Conduct group therapy sessions for patients.
  • Educate patients about coping strategies and self-care.
  • Work alongside psychiatrists and social workers.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences.
  • Support patients in crisis situations with effective interventions.
  • Provide mentorship to junior nursing staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Registered Nurse qualification
  • Specialisation in Mental Health Nursing preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in mental health nursing
