Warehouse Manager

Job Description

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our operations in Wakefield. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and leading a team of warehouse staff. Your role will involve strategic planning, inventory management, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Direct all warehouse activities and manage inventory for optimal storage.
• Ensure that all shipping and receiving functions are carried out accurately and timely.
• Implement best practices for inventory management and track KPIs related to supply chain success.
• Lead efforts to enhance warehouse sustainability and reduce waste.
• Facilitate communication between warehouse operations and other departments.
• Administer employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements.
• Respond to any emergency situations or incidents that impact warehouse operations.
• Manage vendor relationships to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Drive initiatives to improve team morale and workplace culture.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse or operations management

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• ISO Certification knowledge: Understanding of ISO standards related to warehouse and logistics.
