Certified Veterinary Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for animals and a desire to provide excellent care to our patients. This is a full-time position in a busy veterinary practice.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians during surgical procedures and examinations.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the clinic and animal areas.
• Assist with the preparation of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Document patient history and treatment plans accurately.
• Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals in distress.
• Help with client inquiries and appointment scheduling.
• Educate pet owners about preventative care and nutrition.
• Foster a positive experience for both clients and their pets.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance veterinary skills.

Requirements

Education

• Previous experience in a veterinary environment is preferred.

Experience

• Experience with exotic animals is a plus.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
