Job Description

We seek a passionate Art Curator to lead our exhibition initiatives in Motherwell. The ideal candidate will be responsible for curating engaging exhibitions, managing collections, and fostering relationships with artists and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute engaging exhibitions that reflect the cultural values of Motherwell.
• Manage relationships with artists, donors, and community stakeholders.
• Curate diverse art pieces that appeal to a wide audience.
• Oversee the installation and de-installation of exhibitions.
• Conduct public tours and workshops to enhance engagement with the art.
• Monitor exhibition budgets, adhering to financial constraints.
• Evaluate the impact of exhibitions and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Arts Management or related field
• Master's degree in Fine Arts or Cultural Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in art curation or gallery management
