Freight Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Freight Coordinator to manage logistics operations in our Liverpool office. The successful candidate will oversee freight forwarding, liaise with suppliers, and ensure timely deliveries, while maintaining high standards of efficiency and service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the transportation of goods from origin to destination.
• Conduct audits on freight processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Respond to freight inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Utilise logistics software to optimise shipping routes and costs.
• Conduct performance reviews of freight carriers to ensure service quality.
• Provide support in managing logistics budgets and expenditures.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics team.
• Set goals and objectives for logistics performance and freight cost efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related area

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in logistics or transportation management

Technical Skills

• Freight Management Systems
• Data Analysis Tools

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in another European language: Fluency in a language such as Spanish or German can be an advantage.
• Previous experience in Freight Forwarding: Experience working with freight forwarding companies is preferred.
