Laboratory Animal Caretaker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Animal Caretaker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the proper care, handling, and maintenance of laboratory animals. This role requires a compassionate individual with a strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily assessments of animal health and report findings.
• Implement biosecurity measures to protect animal welfare.
• Assist in research protocols and support the laboratory team in various projects.
• Participate in training programs to enhance animal care and handling skills.
• Maintain laboratory and animal housing equipment to ensure proper function.
• Document all animal handling and care procedures accurately.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in laboratory animal care or a similar role is preferred, but not mandatory.

Certifications

• Certification in Laboratory Animal Science or related field

Languages
