Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will focus on designing, implementing, and overseeing infrastructure projects to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed projects.
• Utilize engineering software to create and maintain project designs.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and cost estimates for projects.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to procure materials.
• Ensure that all projects meet environmental and sustainability standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure

• Building Regulations
• Site Surveying

Certifications

• NEBOSH Health and Safety
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with PMP or PRINCE2 methodologies: Knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience in railway or highway design: Background in working on transport infrastructure projects.
