Responsibilities

• Execute clinical laboratory procedures to analyze biological samples.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the development of new testing methodologies.
• Communicate test results to clinicians and assist in clinical decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory staff.
• Participate in professional development and training programs.
• Conduct research to improve laboratory practices and patient outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in Biomedical Science is a plus

Experience

• At least 2 years’ experience in a cross-functional laboratory team

Technical Skills

• Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Diagnostic Equipment Operation

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Problem-solving Skills

Certifications

• Registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• IBMS Specialist portfolio desirable

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in research and development: Prior involvement in clinical trials or laboratory research.
• Ability to supervise junior staff: Experience in leadership or training in a laboratory setting.
