Forest Firefighter

Job Description

Join our committed team as a Forest Firefighter, where your main task will be to prevent and respond to wildfires. You will conduct assessments and work with other agencies to ensure our forests are safeguarded.

Responsibilities

• Monitor environmental conditions to anticipate fire outbreaks.
• Engage in team training and community outreach on fire prevention.
• Collaborate with local authorities for emergency preparedness.
• Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to during fire fighting operations.
• Document and maintain records of fire incidents and safety checks.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational qualification in firefighting or forestry is preferred

Experience

• Experience in wildfire fighting or forestry work is advantageous.

Certifications

• Chainsaw Operation certification (advantageous)
• ATV Handling certification (advantageous)

Languages

• ATV Handling Certification: Certification in operating all-terrain vehicles for rapid response.
