Job Description

As a Waste Picker, you'll be responsible for collecting and sorting waste materials such as paper, plastic, and glass. The role is physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and teamwork to ensure proper disposal.

Responsibilities

• Sort waste materials efficiently to maximise recycling.
• Perform physical labour as required for waste collection.
• Report any incidents or accidents in a timely manner.
• Engage with customers to promote waste reduction efforts.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Experience in environmental services is a plus.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forklift Operating License: Ability to operate a forklift is advantageous.
• First Aid Certification: Certification in first aid is a plus.
