Job Description

As a Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, you'll be vital in assessing and managing client cases, ensuring they receive the support they need for recovery. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for details, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to build strong relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate client needs and develop individualized support plans.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients to discuss case goals and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports regarding client cases.
  • Liaise with external agencies and community resources.
  • Conduct follow-ups to assess situations and make necessary adjustments.
  • Advocate for clients within a multi-disciplinary team framework.
  • Guide clients in navigating challenges and developing coping strategies.
  • Ensure that all interventions comply with regulatory standards.
  • Train and mentor junior staff related to case management.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to service development.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in substance abuse counseling
