We are looking for an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our fast-paced team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will evaluate risks and underwrite policies based on established guidelines, ensuring both profitability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments for new and existing clients.
• Utilise underwriting software to streamline the quote process.
• Prepare detailed underwriting reports for management review.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss underwriting strategies.
• Foster relationships with brokers and clients to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Professional underwriting qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• 3 years of relevant experience in insurance underwriting

• Underwriting Software Proficiency
• Regulatory Knowledge

Certifications

• Cert CII (Certificate in Insurance)

Languages

• English: Fluent
