Job Description

As a Mental Health Counsellor, you will work closely with clients to assess their needs and develop effective treatment plans. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement effective therapeutic plans for clients.
• Conduct intake assessments and establish therapeutic relationships.
• Facilitate group sessions and workshops focused on mental health skills.
• Document and review client progress regularly.
• Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare providers.
• Support clients in crisis situations and provide immediate help.
• Engage in professional development and seek supervision as required.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Promote healthy coping strategies among clients.
• Assist in community outreach and education programs.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Psychology or Counselling
• Professional license or certification in mental health counselling is preferred

• 3+ years in a similar mental health counselling position
