We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in Sheffield. In this role, you will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care to our furry friends, ensuring their wellness and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with veterinarians to deliver excellent patient care.
• Monitor vital signs and behaviour of animals.
• Assist in radiographic imaging and laboratory procedures.
• Conduct health assessments on animals.
• Provide responses to emergency situations efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies.
• Schedule appointments and manage client communications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in veterinary practice

Technical Skills

• Surgical assistance
• Diagnostic imaging

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Critical thinking

Certifications

• Fear Free Certified Professional
• Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in animal behaviour: Knowledge in animal behaviour principles and techniques.
• Experience in emergency veterinary care: Experience in fast-paced emergency situations.
