Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dressmaker to create, alter, and repair custom garments for our discerning clientele. The successful candidate will possess a meticulous eye for detail and be proficient in various sewing techniques, fabric handling, and pattern-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create bespoke clothing for female clients based on their requirements.
  • Interpret client briefs and create sketches, technical drawings, and patterns.
  • Select fabrics, trims, and embellishments to enhance garment quality.
  • Cut, sew, and finish garments to industry standards.
  • Assist with fittings and alterations, providing guidance on styling and fit.
  • Maintain high standards of attention to detail and quality control throughout the production process.
  • Work with a team of designers and machinists to deliver exceptional garments.
  • Manage client appointments and follow up on custom orders.
  • Participate in team meetings for continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Help to curate the seasonal collection based on client feedback and market trends.

Requirements

Education
  • Formal training in fashion design, such as a degree or diploma in fashion design.
  • Relevant work experience may also be considered.
Experience
  • Previous experience in dressmaking or fashion design is essential.
