Environmental Consultant

Job Description

As an Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance to help organisations reduce their impact on the environment. This role involves conducting site assessments, preparing reports, and developing environmental strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental consultancy projects from initiation to completion.
• Conduct site visits to assess environmental impacts and compliance.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders and clients.
• Research and analyse environmental data and trends.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance.
• Develop project proposals and bids for new consultancy work.
• Train and mentor junior consultants and interns.
• Engage with local communities on environmental initiatives.
• Support the implementation of corporate sustainability plans.
• Evaluate the success of environmental programmes and projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or other relevant qualifications
• Masters's degree in Sustainability or Environmental Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consultancy

Certifications

• Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of international environmental standards: Familiarity with ISO and other global environmental standards.
• Experience in environmental training: Skills in developing and delivering training programmes related to sustainability.
