Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. This role involves installing and maintaining various flooring materials in both residential and commercial settings. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in preparing surfaces and ensuring a high-quality finish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare flooring surfaces, cleaning, leveling, and removing old materials.
• Utilize precise measurements for cutting and fitting new flooring materials.
• Install an array of flooring types, ensuring quality and durability.
• Use adhesives effectively, securing flooring materials in place.
• Evaluate and repair or replace any worn or damaged flooring.
• Finish flooring with coats to enhance appearance and endurance.
• Regularly check and care for tools and machinery.
• Observe and comply with safety regulations during installations.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and team members for successful project outcomes.
• Assist in training apprentices in the craft of flooring installation.

Requirements

Education

• Apprenticeship in flooring installation or related field is preferred.

Experience

• Proven experience in floor laying, ideally within a professional setting.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read floor plans
• Understanding of health and safety regulations

Languages

• English: Fluent
