Job Description

As an Instrument Technician Helper, you will provide vital support to Instrument Technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex instruments and control systems. This role is essential for ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance in field measurements and installations.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and challenges.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for ordering necessary parts and materials.

Requirements

Education
  • GCSEs in Maths, English and Science
  • Completion of a relevant vocational course
Experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Soft Skills
  • Teamwork
  • Time-management skills
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience working in an industrial setting: Having prior experience in an industrial role is highly regarded.
  • Basic understanding of PLC systems: Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is a plus.
