Forging Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders, Metal and Plastic

Job Description

We are on the lookout for skilled Forging Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidates will possess a solid understanding of forging processes and machinery operation, contributing to production efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up forging machines by selecting proper tools and settings as dictated by production requirements.
• Check and calibrate machine operations before starting production.
• Report any defective machinery immediately for corrective action.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery during operation.
• Train new staff on proper machine operation and safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and supervisory staff to improve production processes.
• Maintain accurate production logs and reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
• Ensure all safety equipment is properly used and maintained.
• Assist in developing best practices for forging operations.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
• Technical certification in manufacturing or metalworking is an asset

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in metal or plastic forging processes
